Meet Our Dogs
• At NCSARDA while we serve the public,
we can only be called by an official
government agency. Please report all lost
and missing persons to your local authorities.

• At
NCSARDA fund-raising proceeds do
not go to individual handlers for their own
expenses, mileage, personal gear, or support
of their own dogs.

• At
NCSARDA fund-raising proceeds do go
for unit search and rescue missions, for
specialized rescue equipment, field
communications, member training and
certifications, and educational programs for
children and civic groups.
NCSARDA is a volunteer organization. Each
member provides his or her own personal equipment, dogs, supplies, transportation and even worker’s compensation premiums. The typical volunteer handler drives approximately
8000 miles on their personal vehicles traveling to and from searches and training exercises - all at their own expense.
All handlers are professional
volunteers in the public service.
NCSARDA is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Please consult your tax advisor about deductibility.
NCSARDA is available to do programs for schools, camps, hiking clubs, scouts, and public service groups on outdoor wilderness safety. We also do programs for fire and rescue agencies on integrating search dogs into search and rescue operations.
One half of the proceeds of DeWoolfson travel
pillows are donated to the NCSARDA Emergency
Operations Fund
